Who Am I?
I could call myself an upholsterer but it sound so plain and soulless. I want to call myself an artist, a creator of beautifull things with passion and vision. Someone who stepped out of the box of her own confidence and decided to progress in life. Someone who has their eyes wide open and can see the hidden beauty and potential in old, unwanted and, sometimes, unloved objects.
I started with antiques and vintage furniture; bric-a-brac or even clothes. I learned a lot about different periods, styles and fabrics; about wood and furniture restoration. That’s when I got interested in upholstery. From the first upholstery workshop I attended, I knew that this is what I want to do. Having a university degree fine arts background, I have always been very creative and artistic. But upholstery doesn’t only require this. You need to have the skills and know the right techniques. It was a long path learning and gaining experience to became an upholsterer and a teacher.
Now I feel I am ready to share my passion with you, to open your eyes, like mine are, to all of the incredible ways of transforming old furniture and giving them a new lease of life.
